I am a self-motivated, curious and creative individual. My passion for helping people coupled with my interest in engineering are what pointed me in the direction of Biomedical Engineering. From my experience in the Orthopedic Industry and working with NASA to further our medical capabilities in space, I have developed a diverse skill set that includes working with mechanical systems, continuous problem solving, redesigning components with minimal supervision, and interfacing with the FDA to ensure that products are safe and reliable for patients and caregivers. My interest lie not only in the creation of cutting edge technology and devices for the improvement of human health, but also in working with surgeons and hospitals to ensure that the product truly fulfills the patient’s needs and exceeds their expectations. My goal as an engineer is to begin my professional career designing these essential lifesaving devices and eventually step into a managerial role where I can expand my expertise and continue to help those who need it most.
