I have had both industry and research experience as an undergraduate student at the University of Oklahoma in the Stephenson School of Biomedical Engineering. In 2017 I was positioned as an intern at Synergy Surgical LLC, a medical device distributor representing multiple surgical specialties including orthopedic, spine, maxillofacial and cardiothoracic. I shadowed and followed reps to sales and surgeries in the Dallas metroplex. I began undergraduate research in the Summer of 2018 in Dr. Stefan Wilhelm's lab at the Stephenson Research and Technology Center. My research with this lab focused on the design and synthesis of organic and inorganic nanomaterials and studying the interactions of these nanomaterials with biological systems. I am currently a Clinical Specialist with Medtronic working with Cardiac Rhythm and Heart Failure devices. I am assisting with implants and implant follow-ups of these devices in Dallas, Texas.
