As a budget/planning analyst in a clinical trials office, my main focus is on overseeing the financial aspects of clinical research projects. I work closely with researchers and project managers to develop and manage budgets for each clinical trial, ensuring they align with the study requirements and objectives. My collaboration extends to the sponsor as well, where I assess the financial needs of each trial and allocate resources accordingly. Throughout the trial's lifecycle, I diligently monitor expenses, track financial data, and analyze cost trends, always on the lookout for potential cost-saving opportunities. Beyond that, I prepare detailed financial reports and projections, provide valuable insights for grant applications, and ensure strict compliance with funding regulations and institutional policies. My role is essential in optimizing financial efficiency and supporting the successful execution of clinical trials within our organization.I graduated from Utah Valley University with a bachelor's degree in Business Management and a minor in Accounting. My time at the university provided me with a solid foundation in business principles and management practices, complemented by a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles and practices.
