The genuine friendships I have made here are countless.Having earned my Trainer certification in August of 2018, I consider it an honor to have the opportunity to teach new employees the skills of friendly customer service, responsible collaboration with co-workers, basic knowledge of coffee tasting, and the details of quality food & beverage preparation. My hope is that they too, in turn, will acquire the ability to delight customers and build lasting friendships as they collaborate with coworkers. Show less

My mission was to simplify the chaos of Children's Ministry through replicable systems, so that parents and volunteers could feel our support and encouragement as they walked into the 4C Kids' Ministry. As a part of this mission, I developed concise literature about our ministry, events, small groups, and volunteer positions (among other topics) which could be used in newsletters, catalogues, and social media. My proudest accomplishment from my time on staff at 4C was the development of a process for on-boarding new volunteers for the children's ministry and tracking their growth.A large portion of my responsibility was the editing of purchased curriculum for ages PreK-4th grade, consolidating it down into a format accessible to temporary volunteers for quick interpretation and execution.Above all, I desired to create and use simple processes at 4C that could be repeated by future staff members and volunteers, equipping them with tools that make it easier to carry out the mission of the church. In addition, I revitalized a mid-week rehearsal, for which musicians were expected to arrive having already mastered new songs in their own time, thereby setting a higher expectation of personal responsibility.In this role, I was also required to carefully moderate song selections and artistic recommendations made by the band, in keeping with the band’s skill level, while maintaining the focus on mission and not self.
