As one of the first designers at this startup, I helped establish the overall brand look and feel and worked to redesign the website, emails, and product packaging. My role evolved to mostly digital design, with my focus on designing our weekly emails, but I also regularly worked on photo shoots, photo editing and art direction for our new product and seasonal campaigns.

Conceptualized and designed packaging — primarily grocery products — for private retail brands, including Aldi, Walmart, Schnuck’s and Sam’s Club. Process typically involved creating mood boards, sketching and ideation sessions, designing and refining concepts, proofing for production, and art directing photo shoots when necessary.

I worked for Newell's Outdoor and Recreation segment, focusing primarily on drinkware. As a designer, I illustrated patterns and graphics to be printed on kids and adult water bottles, designed packaging for new water bottles and travel mugs, worked on logo explorations for new product lines, and helped refresh existing packaging for brand repositioning. I also worked as an in-house photographer, shooting products in our office studio, creating lifestyle scenes for social media posts and web campaigns and working alongside our partner photography company to plan and art direct lifestyle photo shoots. The main brands I worked on are Contigo, Bubba and Coleman.

My responsibilities included prop shopping per requested photo concepts, styling sets and capturing images, and editing/formatting photos. Primarily, I shot for Cayman Jack but I also worked on Mike's Hard Lemonade, Mike's Harder, Palm Breeze and White Claw.

Responsible for the "Photo Briefs" section in my university's student-run newspaper, requiring me to come up with a theme each week and photograph content and curate a 1-2 page spread. Additional responsibilities included photographing for various news stories, laying out pages, designing ads and graphics, and managing web version of stories.

Photographed the daily changing menu at Radish, a healthy meal delivery app based in Chicago. I shot and edited photographs each week of the different food items to be put on the app so consumers can see and select which items they want.

Designed and edited marketing collateral for Kenshoo, including brochures, onesheets and print ads. Regularly updated the Kenshoo website with new images and corporate branding as well as with updated collateral translations for international sites.
