During my tenure I launched a results-based nationally recognized senior wellness program locally, dramatically increasing the number of active volunteers; successfully wrote and managed multi-year federal, state and local grants for both programs; created impactful in-service learning opportunities for volunteers, and crafted powerful stories and nurtured media relationships leading to increased media coverage, brand recognition, and volunteer engagement.

Developed and supervised recruitment strategies for a 1600 employee human services organization. Designed, coordinated, and delivered a wide range of training and workforce development programs for agency leaders and direct service staff; oversaw Employee Wellness Program including project management of annual Healthy Living Fair and the creation of the HC4Me employee wellness newsletter; created all written content for recruitment website redesign, as well as created and led website training for all supervisors.

Managed all aspects of the hiring, training and payroll processes at the 2010 US Census for Vermont. I ensured that all payroll for more than 3000 Vermonters was completed accurately and on time; all outlined policies and procedures were understood and followed by both by office and field employees; handled all property claims and personnel grievances; managed inventory; provided accurate reporting of activities to the Regional Office all while maintaining crucial privacy policies and serving as spokesperson for the Vermont office.

Responsible for all aspects of the development and implementation of a successful Recruiting strategy for the 2010 US Census in the state of Vermont including: hiring, training and motivating a 30+ member team of Recruiting Assistants across the state; management of all Recruiting office staff; coordination of the official testing of 12,000+ Vermonters; outreach to community partners to further recruiting efforts and the understanding of Census mission. I developed a media contact list, wrote press releases and actively followed up to ensure the best media coverage possible statewide and also served as spokesperson for the Census in Vermont.
