Ellen Boynton is the Executive Producer of KGW’s lifestyle show Hello, Rose City! Prior to that she served as Multimedia Marketing Manager at KGW. She’s worked in the media industry for more than 25 years in a variety of positions. She started as an intern at World News Tonight with Peter Jennings in New York City. She also worked for NBC during its coverage of the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, UT. In addition, Ellen produced newscasts for nearly 10 years in Madison, WI; Salt Lake City, UT and Portland, OR. During that time, she covered the 20th anniversary of the eruption of Mount St. Helens and also the kidnapping and discovery of Elizabeth Smart. For the past 10 years she’s focused her work on media marketing, producing television promotions to build station brand and drive audiences to consume local news. She specialized in marketing to news audiences through social media. She now manages the daily production of the weekly half-hour lifestyle program, Hello, Rose City. In her spare time, Ellen enjoys watching independent films and documentaries, binge-watching nearly every television series, drooling over interior design blogs, sewing and crafting. She lives in Beaverton, OR with her husband and two sons.
