CurrentAuthor and Publisher:Ellen is the founder of Butterfly Creations,Inc. the publisher of the FRECKLES® picture books for children. The current titles are FRECKLES®, and FRECKLES® and The Great Beach Rescue. The latter is the recipient of multiple publishing awards, and both books are Accelerated Reader (AR) titles. As author and publisher, Ellen manages the daily operations of being an independent publisher including sales, promotions, marketing, billing and distribution. In building the FRECKLES® brand, she partnered with GUND, Inc. to develop and manufacture a plush toy of Freckles, the main character in the FRECKLES® children's book series, and with Costume Specialists to create an adult sized costumed character of Freckles. In addition, she developed the website www.funwithfreckles.com.Ellen is a frequent guest author at elementary schools, offering fun-filled, engaging and age-appropriate presentations designed to foster an enhanced interest in reading and an introduction to the world of publishing.Freelance Writer:Ellen has over 20 years of writing experience across many sectors and for a wide range of target audiences. She is the editor of two neighborhood publications by N2 Publishing, Irving Park Living Magazine and Life at Lake Jeanette Magazine, and generates 32+ pages of monthly content for each magazine. She writes Ellen's Book Nook, a monthly feature for Triad Moms on Main (www.triadmomsonmain.com) that offers book recommendations for children and moms. Ellen is a Critically Acclaimed Writer for Story Terrace, a company that writes and publishes biographies and memoirs. In addition, she has extensive experience writing feature articles, non-fiction articles, website content, blog posts, marketing materials and newsletters.
