-Coordinate a comprehensive program of community engagement activities and events for student-athletes, coaches, and athletics department staff.-Organize community engagement events to engage student-athletes in service activities on and off Grounds.-Develop and maintain relationships with campus partners and community organizations.-Promote community engagement activities and benefits to multiple constituent groups.-Maintain detailed records of all activities and events.

In this position, I have continued many of the same responsibilities from when I was a graduate intern. "Thursday's Heroes" is in its third year and continues to be my main focus. I have recruited, interviewed, and trained 7 student volunteers to assist with the growth of the program. Along with Thursday's Heroes, I organize player visits to the UVA Children's Hospital, the Boys and Girls Club, and local elementary schools. The football office also invites youth groups to tour the football facilities and meet with players. I am extremely passionate about this aspect of my position because the players are engaging with their community, which helps develop them into caring, responsible, and active citizens.Along with my community service responsibilities, I continue to write, edit, and manage three different newsletters each for our football alumni, families, and incoming players. Additional responsibilities now include: coordinating player logistics (dorm move-outs, summer housing, report date paperwork), creating game itineraries for buses/security, and organizing special events (Pro Day, Alumni Day, "Best and Brightest"). Through these new opportunities, I have increased my scope as an employee in the football office and have become a main resource and guide for the players.

I primarily coordinate and manage "Thursday's Heroes," a program which supports individuals in difficult circumstances by inviting them to Virginia football practices. I work with the surrounding community to recruit and communicate with participants throughout the entire process. As an intern, I also write and design a monthly newsletter for players' families and coordinate visits to the UVA Children's Hospital with several football players.

I produce a video stream for athletic events on the Virginia Sports website using Wirecast software. These athletic events include Women and Men's Soccer, Women's Basketball, Field Hockey, and Baseball games.

I capture and edit video footage during the UVA football team's practices. I prepare the footage for the coaches and players to watch.

I worked with kids aged 5 to 18 to improve their swimming skills. My responsibilities included communicating with parents and parent volunteers, overseeing meet entries through the website Team Unify, and coaching children to improve their times at weekly swim meets.
