Meet Ellen: I am a serial networker, an entrepreneur for over 30 years and a very happy communications nerd. I am fascinated by communications in all is forms – the media we use to deliver it, the people who work in it and the technology that powers the industry. My two core businesses are Irish Academy of Public Relations which I formed in 1992 and Mettacomms which I formed in 2019. Irish Academy of Public Relations is a training and education business while Mettacomms is a cloud-based data-analytics platform. I advise on Crisis PR and speak at conferences internationally which combines my two passions of communication and travel! Author & Thought leader: I have written three books – an academic text for students studying Public Relations, a book on PR strategies and tactics for SME businesses and a book about Influential Women in Dublin City. I am a regular media commentator in Making the News on Ireland AM show on Virgin Media One (previously known as TV3) and regular blogger on communications and comms tech issues.
