Launched in October 2019, The Reclaim is a community for ALL women to be included and have an equal voice. Quoted in Vox, recognized in Washingtonian Magazine online and featured in CollabCreateDC and 730DC, The Reclaim has partnered with The Outrage, Platform Women, the National Women's History Museum, Republic Restoratives, and Chaia Tacos. Notable guests have included Charlotte Clymer, Rhonda Foxx, Jennifer DeCasper, Dayanara Ramirez, and Julia Manchester.The Reclaim is currently on hiatus while the cofounders reassess community needs due to the pandemic and their own career transitions. The Philomathean Society has published two literary magazines in its history, ERA (1964-1980) and Philomel (1981-2013). As the Editor in Chief responsible for relaunching ERA, I coordinated within and beyond Philo to create a new edition of ERA for spring 2020.We launched with an open mic night in the Philo Halls. Following the COVID-19 pandemic-related closure of Penn's campus, we released a digital edition of ERA at Meeting the Eighth.

In addition to increased brand and community awareness of Education Opens Doors and our programs, my work directly (event planning, email and social fundraisers) and indirectly (brand and messaging development, grant editing) brought in hundreds of thousands of dollars in funding, enabling us to reach tens of thousands more students with the Education Opens Doors program.Reported in quarterly board meetings, led department meetings, and onboarded staff. Managed a $20,000 marketing budget and external vendors, agency staff, and volunteers. Set and guided annual communications and marketing strategy to consistently articulate Education Opens Doors' mission. Directed all communications, including website, social media, public relations, print collateral, and email marketing and campaigns. *Ran a literacy center for underserved students in a Dallas ISD elementary school. Managed and coached a team of 55 volunteers serving 45 students*Established and managed school relationships at a new school site.*Coordinated with volunteers to ensure effective tutoring for students; created action plans and met with teachers to increase student progress.

As managing editor for one of Florence's main English-language newspapers, I wrote, edited and translated a variety of articles for each issue. Florence is You is published bimonthly. I was responsible for pitching stories to the editor-in-chief, writing articles, translating articles from Italian to English and editing articles for content and grammar. I also maintained the social media accounts for the paper via Hootsuite, including Facebook, Google Plus and Twitter. For the last six months of my employment, I worked for the paper virtually, handling the same responsibilities and communicating via email and Skype.

I was responsible for helping keep the main administrative and studio art campus open in the evenings and over the weekends. I was in charge of opening and closing the school and monitoring the people that entered and left the premises. On occasion, I assisted in the studios, on housing check-in and during SRISA extra-curricular events. During the year of my residency I created a series of works studying the four seasons in Florence which were exhibited in a resident exhibition in July 2014.

Wrote daily articles for a science website. Articles ranged between 400-450 words and had to be approved by the editor before being accepted.

Group Leaders are special staff who live and work on Cabin Row. Each age group has one or two “GLs” who are responsible for being familiar with the campers and staff in their age group as well as the issues and events that affect those campers and counselors each day. They are responsible for ensuring a comfortable living environment for the campers and staff under their leadership and communicating with the head counselors and directors on a daily basis. Group leaders are responsible both for logistics of day-to-day camper life and for camper well-being.

Faculty Advisor, Junior National Young Leaders Conference, March-April 2013Supervise a group of 17 middle school scholars throughout a conference focusing on leadership traits through the lens of American history. Facilitate all group meetings, including briefings and debriefings, debates, discussions and simulations. Accompany students to all off-site events and provide educational discussion during those visits, including the National Museum of American History, the Newseum, the Capitol Visitors Center, the Library of Congress, and the national monuments. Provide supervision and safety, conducting count offs during all events as well as evening room checks.Faculty Advisor, Middle School Presidential Inaugural Conference, January 2013Supervised a group of 16 middle school students throughout a conference examining the inauguration and the roles of the presidency. Accompanied assigned students to all off-site events, including plenary speakers, a visit to Arlington National Cemetery, and the 2013 Inauguration and Swearing-In on the National Mall.
