Leading the CHA sustainable agenda for the public housing portfolio to provide energy management services, energy efficiency for both operating and capital programs, manages environmental operations, implements preventative maintenance and fixed asset management initiatives to support the CHA’s goal of providing housing that is safe, decent and sustainable. • Established partnerships to leverage funding sources for energy efficient capital projects and renewable energy systems – total project value leveraged - $ 20 million• Manages energy operations, including oversight of standardized preventative maintenance programs, work order system and new fixed asset management program• Administers energy procurement contracts for energy supply, including budget forecasting with volume and rate locks, as well as all agreements for local utility distribution, annual budget - $25 million• Administers the CHA wireless carrier rooftop license program, which generates $1.2 million in non-federal revenue annually• Oversaw Energy Performance Contracting program which used an innovative construction delivery method for the installation of a new heating distribution system within 1,090 senior apartments completed within one year – program budget - $19 million• Originated CHA effort to comply with the Chicago Energy Benchmarking Ordinance, became the largest Public Housing Authority to measure, verify and report on annual energy usage • Manages and mentors a team of five staff members, as well as presents successful CHA programs at various national conferences

Responsible for the Energy Savings Performance Contracting (ESPC) program to reduce the District’s annual energy related operating costs with HVAC retrofits in existing facilities ● Led the first multiphase ESPC program at over 55 park district facilities which also established a centralized, non- proprietary building automation system, total contract value - $50 million• Developed and delivered project status reporting, as well as financial reporting for each project’s return on investment to Executive leadership and Board of Commissioners• Led design, permitting and construction effort to modernize 72 swimming pools for compliance with the Illinois Swimming Facility Act; total program value - $10 million

Deputy Director, Department of Natural Resources (2006-2010)Responsibilities included the development, implementation and promotion of the Chicago Park District’s sustainable initiatives leading to local and national recognition as Environmental Stewards• Oversaw beach management operations as well as maintenance program for natural areas, • Executed new multiyear fixed rate contracts for deregulated energy supply pricing,• Lead an energy management initiative with the Facilities Management Department that evaluated baseline energy usage to prioritize capital projects for maximum operational cost savings, • Served as on citywide team that established the “Chicago Climate Action Plan” and “Adding Green to Urban Design” which served as Chicago’s sustainable vision agendas, • Managed and mentored a team of five staff members as well as presented Park District sustainable programs at international conventions,

Administered professional design and construction contracts for new construction and facility rehabilitation projects. Led multiple programs to renovate and improve District facilities, reporting to and participating in the senior level Capital Improvement Program planning and budgeting team. • Developed design build contracts for building bid that established facility rehabilitation programs to upgrade thermal shell, lighting and HVAC systems, each program has a multiyear contract – annual contract value -$15 million• Managed design and construction contracts for major renovation and new construction projects – average project value $3 million • Managed all aspects of the design, public solicitation and construction of adaptive reuse projects to preserve historic field houses and landscapes that are on or are eligible for Landmark status• Designated a LEED Accredited Professional (AP) and the Park District adviser for all projects pursuing LEED certification

Worked as an on-site consulting Project Manager to the Chicago Park District and as an Owner’s Representative for other municipal agencies• Managed a team to determine and provide scope assessments, and as a Project Manager overseeing the budget and schedule of construction projects for various municipal property owners

Stationed at both Chicago and Midway Airport offices with DOA and consulting staff• Prepared contract documents which detailed the scope of work for the Chicago Department of Aviation’s Residential Sound Insulation Programs surrounding O’Hare and Midway International Airports • Supervised and inspected construction, oversaw quality assurance for materials specified and installed for sound abatement
