As Communication Consultant in the technical cooperation unit of the International Atomic Energy Agency, I am responsible for coordinating, planning and delivering all communication outreach material related to the Programme of Action for Cancer Therapy. This is the programme that helps countries around the world fight cancer using knowledge and expertise related to nuclear science and technology.

After finishing my full-time position at ESN, I continued to support the company for some time on a freelance basis with their EU tendering efforts, including coordinating key parts of bids and training new members of the EU tendering / business development team.

As Senior Business Development & Account Manager at ESN, I was responsible for coordinating, writing, negotiating and quality-checking all EU communication framework tenders produced by the company. This included managing two permanent bid managers as well as overseeing and leading the work of many other communication specialists in time to meet strict deadlines. Subsequently, I also managed some of the framework contracts I was responsible for winning, including for DG COMM of the European Commission, the European Food Safety Authority, the Clean Aviation joint undertaking and the European Education and Culture Executive Agency.

As Senior Bid Manager I assisted with the identification, analysis and evaluation of appropriate bidding opportunities for the European Service Network communications agency. I conceived, directed and supervised commercial bids for major communication contracts in mainly the public sector, writing key sections of the bids - in particular, those that explained and described the communication strategy proposed. I worked to identify appropriate partners and sub-contractors, negotiate terms, and coordinate external input to bids, ensuring the overall coherence, consistency and quality of bids prior to submission. In addition, I coordinated internal writing teams and the work of two junior bid writers.

As freelance Digital Content Manager I reviewed, planned and implemented clients' digital communication strategies, generating high quality content to match company brand incl. landing pages, blogs, newsletters, articles and social media feeds. I also project managed digital transformation projects, liaising with creatives and developers to enhance website design, user experience and SEO.

As Co-Founder & Managing Editor of the Bumps & Babes community and website, I established an online portal and organised weekly talks geared at expat families living in Shanghai; developed a tailor-made marketing strategy to raise advertising revenue from local providers; wrote, edited and/or curated all content on the website as part of our strategic marketing plan; and launched and wrote a weekly e-newsletter with a 54% open rate. In 2013, Bumps & Babes was sold to Ringier Asia, China's largest English-speaking publisher. The Bumps & Babes website has since been re-branded and merged into the Shanghai Family website.

As freelance writer I pitched ideas, interviewed experts and wrote 20+ articles on various topics of interest to expat families in Shanghai for the three main English-speaking magazines Shanghai Family, City Weekend and Urban Family. As Senior Editor for Urban Family magazine, I contributed to the full publishing cycle including idea generation, planning, sourcing/writing/editing content and final pre-print checks. In the course of both functions, I developed a network of 200+ professionals to reach out to for content and expertise.

As Business Intelligence Analyst I analysed sales, product margins and the result of marketing campaigns for business membership heads; designed weekly semi-automated dashboards using Micro Strategies and advanced Excel metrics; compiled the monthly board report, pulling together all relevant information for the Board; and prepared weekly e-updates with curated news which I then circulated to senior members of staff.

As Product Analyst for the collateral management software program Algo Collateral I designed and performed tests to ensure a bug-free, seamless experience for users; compiled Online Help documentation and improved client training programs to facilitate a better understanding of the product; delivered training workshops to clients in English, French and Spanish; collaborated with sales to understand client requirements and feed these back to IT.

As Audit Consultant for the Euro Info Centre Network of the European Commission I audited the performance of 20+ Euro Info Centres (SME support providers) on behalf of the EC in English, French and German; communicated the results of my analysis both in person and in writing; promoted best practise ideas across the network.

As Financial Analyst for the JOP/JEV joint venture program of the European Commission I reviewed applications submitted by SMEs to receive financial support from the EC for joint venture projects across the EU; recommended appropriate levels of funding and applied programme rules; liaised with financial institutions across Europe in English, French and German.
