I always begin my story with my three "jobs." First and most important, I'm a mom of two incredible sons, figuring out how they can impact the world as young adults. Second, I'm an HR leader, utilizing my varied experience in a number of different industries to develop and grow our HR team at BarFly. Third, I'm a teacher (formerly a college instructor), impacting the lives/knowledge/career direction for hundreds of HR, management and business undergraduate/graduate level students and hopefully those around me everyday.I'm best at cultivating effective relationships, controlling expenses and developing programs with measurable results. I call this the "scrappiness" factor. I also focus on opportunities to learn and progress my personal development & brand while inspiring others around me to do the same.I've utilized a lot of opportunities along the way, including my two degrees in mass communication and public administration; a certification in human resources; 25 years of HR experience and 18 years instructing college students.
