Hi there! My name is Ellery Schlingmann, and I am currently working as a Living Environment (Biology) teacher at the Bronx School for Law, Government, and Justice in New York City. Having graduated from UCLA Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Molecular, Cell, and Developmental Biology and minors in Biomedical Research and the Study of Religion, I am using the skills I learned during my undergraduate education, as well as my commitment to culturally responsive pedagogy, to build strong relationships with my students and school community and work towards educational equity. I am passionate about advocacy involving disparities in education, healthcare, nutrition, and access to foods and medicines.
