In late 2020 I signed up to project manage team Lund in the annual iGEM competition. In November 2021 team Lund won gold at the conference in Paris.Despite usually, focusing on material sciences, my interest in project management brought me into the world of synthetic biology and biotech.As a teamleader I spent my time organizing and leading a group consisting of circa 20 members from various disciplines in an international environment. The team consisted of students from different parts of Europe and Asia, which helped me develop intercultural communication skills.I was responsible to set up a partnership with team Paris-Saclay, where we produced Ted talk style videos that discussed GMO and biotech in an educational manner.At the end of the year, I interviewed, selected and introduced the new 2022 team leaders to the world of iGEM and the cycle of student driven research started again.

Employed as summer staff. Worked in production as an operator, which included various tasks such as forklift driving, operating the control system of the factory, quality testing and logistics.

During this internship I learned how a process manufacturing industry works. My role alternated between administrative tasks given to me by my supervisor and safety testing in the port.
