I found this job incredibly challenging but I learnt an incredible amount of skills from it. As a Supervisor my roles included, serving customers & customer service, bar supervisor, floor supervisor, doing stock checks, checking deliveries,ordering stock for the week, dealing with and resolving customer complaints, organising staff rotas and shifts, running very busy weekend shifts, opening and closing the pub, cashing up & banking, organising the staff on shifts. Unfortunately, there were many times that we didn't have a General Manager, therefore, my Assistant Manager and myself had step up as holding manager and holding assistant manager. There were a few more jobs I had to take on in this role. These included, organising meetings with external suppliers for the pub, collaborating with my Manager/Assistant Manager & Area Manager regarding important decision to do with the products, menus and aesthetics of the pub, in charge of logistics of large bookings, organising staff meetings and minute taking, in charge of all social media accounts, advertising new products and upcoming events. While at this job a learnt many skills that I believe can be transferred into my many other job roles.

After having worked for the London branch of Long Tall Sally as a sales assistant, I was hired to work in the Tunbridge Wells branch as a sales assistant but within a month was promoted to Sales Supervisor. As a supervisor my roles included; serving customers, assisting the regular customers, checking the stock and deliveries, running errands, completing over the phone orders, using SDS, the online ordering and delivering system, visual merchandising and making sure the shop floor was always presentable, opening and closing the shop, cashing up, delegating jobs to the juniors and having to make on the spot decisions about issues that may arise.

I was the assistant director and stage manager for a local theatre production. I was asked to use my creative skills to create some of the set; including banners, logos, costumes and other props. I was also asked to give advice on the actors and the set design.

I started at Long Tall Sally as a sales assistant in the London branch. My responsibilities included serving customers, assisting the regular customers and making sure they were happy with the service they were receiving, checking off the stock and deliveries and completing over the phone orders.

As a Marketing Assistant my roles included using HTML coding software & Cheetahmail to communicate with many potential visitors to the exhibition by sending e-newsletters, I was in charge of the social networking for the exhibition. I set up the Facebook page and increased the Twitter followers by 100%, receiving special recognition for this success. I also attended meetings when I was asked to.As a Seminar Co-ordinator my responsibilities included communication with delegates that were there to participate in the exhibition as speakers, to make sure the walkers were in the right place at the right time, to make last minute substitutions when speakers weren't able to attend and to make sure they had everything they needed.
