Occupational Therapist
CurrentI currently work part time as an Occupational Therapist in Hand Therapy, having recently transitioned from Allied Health Assistant with my graduation. In this role, I implement treatment plans and monitor patients' progress toward upper limb rehabilitation; working closely with senior Occupational Therapists. Many of these clients are acute and require rehabilitation intervention post trauma. This requires both evidence based practices and precise following of protocols (eg. splinting) as well as creative intervention and problem solving to regain movement, sensation and strength in their upper limbs. This experience has allowed me to grow in my knowledge, adapt to diverse patient needs and deliver effective interventions to support client recovery.
