I am currently working with both internationally recognized entertainment groups and independent creators to produce social media content, including videos for TikTok and Instagram, and to edit podcasts. I also recently developed and led a successful social media fundraising and marketing campaign for a critically acclaimed fiction podcast series.

I managed comms and social media across all programs, published editorial series and annual reports, led the UX writing and comms for our new platform launch, hired, trained, and managed team members, led our annual photo event, and laid the groundwork for our media network of podcasts and virtual series.

I created and edited diverse content, organized and facilitated virtual events, assisted with the strategy and launch of our first fellowship program, and managed communications and outreach for WILDLABS' conservation technology community.

As an intern at WILDLABS, I organized the first season of our virtual Tech Tutors series, and assisted in outreach and facilitation for two seasons. I also created and curated articles, case studies, and interviews, managed communications and outreach for the community, organized the launch of other events and online training courses, assisted in data analysis for our conservation tech survey research project, and maintained the platform and WILDLABS social media presence.

In the new Deep Time exhibit in the Hall of Fossils, I interpreted scientific concepts for guests, and facilitated educational activities that both enhanced understanding of the exhibit and supported Deep Time's messages of climate change, evolution, and how studying the past can help scientists understand the present. I also assisted at special events such as Deep Time's Opening Day, Family Fossil Day, Family Archaeology Day, and Teen Night.

At ASCO, I compiled research on potential panelists, coordinated event schedules, compiled informational packets, maintained event databases, and created press materials for our first international event. I also performed administrative tasks like reconciling invoices and maintaining records of travel bookings, registration payments, and scholarship waivers.

At PatientPop, I was responsible for researching current and relevant medical content, and creating social media copy specific to each client's needs for Facebook, Twitter and Google+. I tailored each account’s content by familiarizing myself with every practice’s unique brand, and aimed to make medical terminology and information accessible to the general public and new patients. I independently managed overlapping schedules and due dates for all accounts, and worked collaboratively with content managers to edit content and finalize timelines to suit each client's personal goals.

At the Chumash Indian Museum in Thousand Oaks, I had the opportunity to help with a wide variety of projects and play many roles. Recently, I wrote and edited new educational signage for updated exhibits and helped to catalogue new additions to our collections. I frequently assisted with arts & crafts activities and nature hikes during school tours, greeted guests and introduced our main exhibits while at the front desk, and worked in the museum gift shop. I also helped with our monthly lecture series and other special educational events.

During my time as Impact Coordinator with the documentary film 8 Borders, 8 Days, I gained experience in nonprofit fundraising, customer service, and event promotion. My main role within this team was researching organizations and universities in key locations across the country, building a database of potential contacts, and conducting extensive outreach to pitch and promote film screenings at campuses and academic conferences. As we built our campaign strategy, I was also responsible for developing social media and email content to support our fundraising goals and promote upcoming events, and for providing assistance with major aspects of event planning and media outreach.

As a campaign ambassador, I worked to create education opportunities for Syrian refugees. I was responsible for campaign organization and outreach to build support for our mission locally and at California Lutheran University, where I presented a campaign proposal directly to the university president. In preparation, I was responsible for compiling relevant case studies and creating informative presentation materials collaboratively with the campaign director. As a result of my presentation and campaign work, Cal Lutheran joined the IIE Syria Consortium and announced that they will launch a new fully-funded scholarship for Syrian refugee students.

As department assistant in Cal Lutheran’s English Department, I worked alongside faculty to handle wide-ranging administrative tasks, assist in website maintenance, collaborate on the monthly newsletter, and help manage department communication and correspondence. A highlight of my time as assistant was leading the creation and distribution of a multimedia project with an underlying theme of activism for the university library. I also served as a guest speaker in a nonfiction writing class, where I created original course content focusing on wildlife research.

I led production as editor in chief after being promoted from assistant editor and intern positions, and was responsible for leading our staff and managing tasks ranging from content creation to digital design to advertising. Additionally, I hired, trained, and managed incoming staff members and interns, and oversaw the production budget. I also worked with a supervisor to ensure the magazine was in line with its founding values, and collaborated creatively with the art director and contributing authors and artists. During my total of three years at Morning Glory, I utilized Adobe Creative Suite, particularly inDesign, Photoshop, and Lightroom.

I trained under the editor in chief and provided support to staff members. I was responsible for managing and organizing incoming submissions, communicating with contributing authors and artists, and aiding in the selection process, layout design, and editing. I also trained under the art director to gain proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.

I assisted with the initial submission selection process, collaborated with other interns, and honed my editing skills while training under the editor. I also began training in the basics of Adobe Creative Suite.
