As a Cincinnati native, Ohio has always been home to me. That is one of the many reasons I decided to stay in the state and attend the University of Findlay. The welcoming atmosphere of the Midwest has allowed me to become fully comfortable here. Another major reason for my college decision is the opportunity I was presented to be a part of the women's soccer team at the university. Being a student-athlete has taught me the importance of culture and team-building in order to be in a successful environment. It has also allowed me several other opportunities, such as being a part of a leadership team and also working with the Special Olympics. Ever since participating on a team at the college level, my work ethic has greatly improved. I have learned the importance of managing my time in order to complete both academic and athletic tasks with the highest efficiency.
