I am a PhD student at the Tyndall Centre and the University of East Anglia. My research looks at the effects of climate change on giraffe (giraffa spp.) and how this knowledge can be applied to current conservation actions. My interests are largely conservation focussed, with emphasis on actions that will continue to benefit species in the face of a changing climate. I have a first class MSci in Zoology from the University of Nottingham, and have accrued ~7 months of field experience in the conservation and animal behaviour sectors. This includes 5 months studying the forage and travel behaviour of black howler monkeys in Chiapas, Mexico; 1 month in Namibia working alongside the Giraffe Conservation Foundation; and 3 weeks as a conservation intern at a private game reserve in South Africa.I am skilled in R and ArcGIS Pro.
