As the Senior Director of Nonprofit Relations at Community Foundation of Greater Des Moines, I leverage my education and project management background to build relationships, facilitate learning opportunities, and improve systems of professional development and technical assistance for nonprofit and community partners. I have over 5 years of experience in leading and overseeing nonprofit sector programming and support, including trainings, convenings, and peer learning experiences, that enhance the health and wellbeing of the nonprofit sector in Greater Des Moines.Before joining the Community Foundation, I was the Director of TRIO Programs at Central College, where I managed and evaluated federally funded programs that provided academic and career guidance to low-income, first-generation, and underrepresented students. I also have a passion for presenting and public speaking, and I have lobbied for TRIO on Capitol Hill, trained teachers and administrators on state policies, and obtained multiple certifications, including MBTI Administrator. My core strengths include staff development, adult education, fundraising, curriculum development, stakeholder relationships, and policy development.
