I am passionate about communicating science to inform effective management of marine ecosystems. My work lies at the intersection of working with the ocean and working with people to promote a more resilient ocean that can sustain the people who rely on its resources. I am a marine scientist based on Oʻahu as the National Coral Reef Management Fellow for the Hawai'i Division of Aquatic Resources. I previously worked for HIMARC, the Hawai'i Monitoring and Reporting Collaborative. I graduated from the Oregon Institute of Marine Biology at the University of Oregon, where I studied microplastic pollution in marine sediments.
