I lead the recruitment, retention, and engagement strategies for the Personal Responsibility Education Innovative Strategies (PREIS) program at the Latin American Youth Center (LAYC). This is an after-school program for youth aged 15-19, integrating two separate curricula, one focused mainly on sexual health (Many Ways Of Being) and another focused on Career Readiness. I visit various school sites to facilitate these programs, supporting culturally diverse students' professional achievement, promoting healthy relationships and communication skills, and encouraging equitable gender norms, sexual wellness, and reproductive health. I also support sexual health advocacy and outreach, conducting HIV, STI, and Pregnancy Testing to community members, and providing referrals for additional healthcare services.

I sold tickets for productions at the Kimball Theater in Colonial Williamsburg. I advertised for and handled customer service as a representative for William and Mary's Theatre, Speech and Dance Department. I brought a positive attitude as I checked people in and solved issues regarding seating, showtimes and money management, to foster a welcoming environment and build customer loyalty.

I planned and individually taught weekly Introductory Spanish classes to college students. In collaboration with the professor, I used a wide range of instructional approaches to develop fun and engaging lessons. I designed innovative and collaborative classroom activities along with audio-visual aids to moderate discussion and reinforce correct vocabulary and grammar rules. I am an enthusiastic teacher with excellent communication skills and a high degree of Spanish fluency. Outside of class, I encouraged the students’ success by facilitating group study sessions and offering private tutoring.

La Plata, Buenos Aires Province, Argentina

The Commission for Memory is State-funded organization for the province of Buenos Aires which commemorates and seeks justice for Argentina’s military dictatorship that occurred from 1976 to 1983. I researched, profoundly discussed, and visited dozens of sites of memory for the 30,000 victims of the kidnappings, murders and violent injustices at the hands of the state. I worked with the Youth section of the Committee Against Torture, which investigates and seeks reparations for human rights violations and institutional corruption within state-run homes for children and adolescents. I spent countless hours at clandestine detention centers, prisons, orphanages, powerful museums, and memorial sites, and reflected deeply on the process of building reparations for such horrifying violence. As difficult as this work was, the CPM’s evaluations of and cases against state programs to improve and provide information about its corrupt systems is extremely important to seek restorative justice.

I conceptualized, created, edited, and coordinated content for over 300 worship and community-driven videos used for weekly online services, church resources and public outreach. I managed the congregation’s Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and Twitter accounts, regularly posting engaging content that represent our faith mission. I used my marketing, design and organizational skills to build a positive and inspiring public image. I collaborated with many community members and led detail-oriented content creation projects.

I interned with the York, James City, and Williamsburg branch of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), to work for the political, educational, social and economic equity for Black people. I directly engaged with the community and collaborated with local leaders through branch meetings and events promoting Black businesses. I managed office work, re-organizing and filing branch meeting reports and financial records, updating donor contact lists, and creating forms for important events. As a Community Fellow for William and Mary’s Social Justice Policy Initiative, it was rewarding to learn through hands on events and everyday problem solving for an important and long-lasting cause.

I led gymnastics, sports, and dance classes, camps, and birthday parties to children ages 4 months to 12 years old. I taught gymnastics techniques to up to 20 children at once in a fun and creative environment. My enthusiastic and musical teaching encouraged imagination and play. I prioritized safe practices, carefully supervising and spotting the students as we developed motor and social skills. I managed both communication and administrative duties through customer service, selling programs and securing safety / consent forms.
