As an intern with Seattle Neighborhood Greenways, I worked on the Neighborhood Racial Justice History Project. I designed and led an independent research project in three Seattle neighborhoods, exploring the racial justice history of each one. The information I found served to inform Seattle Neighborhood Greenways' community organizing efforts. I presented my findings to community groups and used my research experience to create a research toolkit document that will guide neighborhood communities through conducting their own research. In this position, I honed my web-based research skills, practiced strong written and verbal communication with varied groups of stakeholders, and learned to collaborate with a diverse set of community members to achieve project goals.

As a Ranch Hand I worked with a group of 10-15 other staff to run summer camp at the Bishop's Ranch. I helped to create a welcoming, fun, and supportive sleep-away camp community for campers of all ages. During intergenerational camps I provided basic hospitality services including guest welcoming, large group activity facilitation, guest problem solving, and event preparation and clean up. During camps I designed and led environmental programming for groups of children and adults of all ages. I also created and facilitated music and arts programming during intergenerational and sleep away camps.
