As a first-year student enrolled in Griffith University's Bachelor of Business, I'm pursuing my passion for marketing and entrepreneurship. I volunteer at ZeroPositive for schools a not-for-profit organisation as a social media marketing assistant. This role allows me to use the power of media to effect positive change in the world and shows me first-hand the way social media can impact businesses in the industry 4.0.To that end, I've already taken steps to further my education in digital marketing. I recently completed an accredited short course in social media marketing through Australian Pacific College, which gave me valuable insights into how businesses can leverage social media to engage with customers and build brand awareness. I'm eager to continue expanding my knowledge and skills in this area as I pursue my degree. I continuously up-skill to ensure I have sufficient skills and knowledge to exceed in the marketing industry. Beyond my academic pursuits, I'm committed to making a difference in my community and the world at large. Working at ZeroPositive, we are committed to making a difference in the educational sector through assisting schools to reach net-zero emissions. Furthermore, I recently participated in a workshop on Climate Change and Law hosted by Bond University, which opened my eyes to the pressing issues facing our planet and inspired me to get involved in efforts to combat climate change.During my high school years, I also honed my communication skills through participation in debating. This experience taught me how to think critically, express my ideas clearly and persuasively, and work collaboratively with others.Overall, I'm excited to see where my passion for marketing and entrepreneurship will take me, and I'm eager to connect with like-minded professionals who share my enthusiasm for making a positive impact on the world.
