I lead a variety of projects across the academic portfolio, particularly those focused on organizational innovation and optimization (all things data). Also provide regular strategic guidance and support on a variety of topics related to organizational culture and research design.

Helped clients across the institute better understand their business area by exploring institutional data or developing new research projects. Most of my time is split between analyzing results using Tableau and advising clients how research results can be used to build better policies and programs. I created and continue to manage NAIT's first Student Engagement survey to better understand how students feel about their experience at NAIT. These findings help with decision making across the institute.I also sit on several committees including the International Working Group, the Mental Health Committee, the Enrollment sub-committee, and the Student Retention committee. I love my job because I get to learn about all aspects of the organization, from campus recreation to finance and everything in between.

The Canadian Bureau for International Education (CBIE) is a national, bilingual, not-for-profit, membership organization dedicated to the promotion of Canada's international relations through international education: the free movement of ideas and learners across national boundaries. CBIE's activities comprise scholarship management, civil society and public sector reform, research and information services, advocacy, training programs, professional development for international educators and other services for members and learners.As the Research and Special Projects Manager I was responsible for a variety of tasks that fall under the broad description of research, project management, and communications. As a researcher, I worked with a small, but talented team of co-workers to plan and implement research projects that focus broadly on international education. Our most recent project, the 2013 World of Learning report explores international education from a Canadian perspective and includes a discussion of our annual international student experience survey (1600 students participated). Much of my time on this project was spent analysing and discussing the results of this survey and building informative (and aesthetically appealing) visualizations from the raw data. This report was released at the annual CBIE conference, which was held during International Education Week November 17 - 20th, 2013 in Vancouver.In addition, I work extensively with the Director of Membership on a number of special projects. Chief among my tasks is using my experience working with online collaborative platforms to assist in the development of an online community for international students in Canada. I also work with the rest of the Membership team on a variety of communications related tasks, including preparing presentations, assisting with press releases, filling the role of account manager for multiple member institutions, and helping to ensure the annual conference is a success.

ISEMA: Perspectives on Innovation, Science & Environment is a student-organized, annually published academic journal. Articles are nominated by professors teaching courses in the ISE (Innovation, Science and Environment) stream of the School of Public Policy and Administration. Nominated papers are sent through a double-blind review by ISE-alumni and other specialists in the field. The Editorial Board then uses these reviews to identify the top papers and invite their authors to submit these papers for publication.

Provided background research on a project for Carleton University Professor, Dr. Susan Phillips. Project is focused on third-sector/government partnerships.
