Over the time at Coast, I built and managed a team of seven brand marketers and graphics designers while tasked with virtually all of the elements of brand and product marketing. Over the span of the tenure I overhauled numerous facets of the department including but not limited to the personnel and workflow structures, marketing vendors, new digital strategies, trade shows, and advertising approaches. I routinely traveled to work hands on both with our overseas manufacturing vendors as well as our team of international distributors.

During my time at Gerber Gear, my position as Graduate Marketing Intern allowed me incredible access to the marketing and brand team. Directly reporting to the Sr Brand Manager, I managed the development of a comprehensive brand and product sales guide for the sales team, helped implement an ambassador program to generate content from key players in a variety of product segments for the brand, provided marketing and brand support during the Outdoor Retailer Show, and assisted on a myriad of other marketing and brand initiatives.

In 2008, we launched a men's fashion brand that sought to solve the needs of men everywhere. We wanted to give people the classy but edgy look that they get from so many existing brands, but do so with the fabric performance at the forefront. All former athletes in our generation were accustomed to the benefits of performance fabrics on the playing fields, and we wanted to give them an option to enjoy that while off the field as well. By using moisture wicking pima/poly blends on the knits and the most high quality and unique fabrics on outwear, we empowered men to have the right gear for every occasion. Defyance produced three collections of gear during its existence and was highlighted in everything from fashion shows to the press/media.As co-founder, some of my duties were to handle the daily operations from bookkeeping to inventory and shipping management. I also worked with our legal representation to create all of the legal framework for the company and successfully acquire two US Trademarks from the USPTO. I helped the other co-founder/creative director strategically plan, develop, merchandise, and deliver three separate seasonal collections using multiple designers as well. All of our products were sourced and manufactured in Asia and I spent a month in Hong Kong before the launch of the brand to learn first hand the full extent of manufacturing overseas.One of the biggest accomplishments we had at the company was the development of the image and the feel of the brand. We worked very closely with our creative agency to ensure our presentation of the product was just as polished as the product itself. We developed very high end sales guides, look-books, press kits, and promotional items for all of the collections and made the website follow suit.

As both a College Financial Representative and Financial Representative at Northwestern, I provided my customers with very high levels of customer service and learned a vast amount about the financial industry. For my clients, I determined their financial needs for their intended goals and appropriately designed policies to match those needs. During my time, I became licensed in Life, Health, & Long-Term Care Insurances.

During my time in college, I spent time working for a department of Adidas named cipMarketing. As a part of this position, I was trained on the brand, it's history, it's technology, and the products themselves. During high priority product launches, I would be sent out across the country to help train account sales staffs on the brand and the collections. Some launches that I helped on were the a1, a3 or bounce, and the first Stella McCartney collection. In addition to product launches, I also was flown to Salt Lake City to assist with a youth soccer clinic hosted by Adidas and Real Madrid with David Beckham.
