As the Studio Assistant Coordinator across various Fine Art courses at Chelsea College of Arts (including MA, BA, Graduate Diploma, MA Collections and Curation), I played a crucial role in supporting the smooth operation of the department. The role involves assisting students, faculty, and staff in various aspects of studio management, ensuring a productive and creative environment for artistic practice. I have contributed to the overall functioning of the department by overseeing studio resources, coordinating activities, and fostering a collaborative atmosphere. Over the last year I have managed a small team of graduate studio assistants, planning and implementing their operations to suit the course requirements. This has included setting up studios to support students practices effectively, helping them with specific technical requirements in the production of their work. This support continued, with engagement in planning, implementing and installing various shows that occur across Chelsea's event based cirriculum. This included degree shows for BA and MA courses and support for Chelsea's on site Chelsea Space Gallery. During these times I was required to maintain a good knowledge ofthe requirments of students and staff during install, keeping a clear sense of time and planning for myself and staff.In coordinating the smooth running of the studios and teaching facilities I managed various budgets and liaised various equipment orders for my team, the course and degree shows.Occasionally my role would spill over into an educational function, engaging in or running crits, preparing, recording and editing lectures for distribution online and giving informal and impromptu advice to students around their practice and handling of exhibition.
