In this role I have been instrumental in launching the American Canadian School of Medicine (ACSOM), orchestrating executive leadership’s vision. I oversee all aspects of marketing and information technology, developing a strategic roadmap that has increased productivity and efficiency throughout the organization. My scope of accountability includes more than $1M in budgets for marketing and technology—spearheading web design, branding, and marketing strategies. I oversee the marketing and IT teams, including Marketing Agency, Outbound Marketing Consultant, Digital Marketing Consultants, Graphic Design Agency, SEO Consultant, IT Manager, Networking Consultants, and Web Development Consultants. I also administer and manage a suite of digital tools including Google Workspace, HubSpot, Kixie, Canvas LMS, Mailforge/Salesforge, Freshsales, Meta Business Suite, TikTok for Business, and Google AdWords. Additionally, I supervise on-site networking and hardware teams supporting a high-speed network, classroom support technology, and providing in-person technology support for the campus.My achievements include serving as a key collaborator in the creation of the organization’s strategic plan and the securing of full accreditation; establishing a robust marketing team and forging strategic partnerships with top-tier marketing agencies such as Wirebuzz, Storybrand, and Designity; safeguarding mission-critical systems and information by innovating and deploying policies, procedures, and best practices for data protection; and increasing qualified leads 385% YOY and conversion rate 212% YOY.

I was promoted multiple times at this public university with 24,000 graduate and undergraduate students.As Assistant Dean, I manage over $500,000 in budgets to procure, manage, and support hardware and software systems used in library operations. I manage a team of library technologists while working with leadership to develop a digital collection strategy.My work involves collaborating with with the Library Learning Analytics team at the University of Michigan to develop insights into the impact of the library on student learning, research, and success.My achievements include leading web development on behalf of the Wayne State University Medical School, Division of Research, and other strategic partners to create a public-facing interactive map for visualizing cardiovascular disease, COVID-19, and cofactors throughout Michigan. This project later would secure $20M in grants.I also worked with the Computing & Information Technology department to build a virtual data center for the long-term storage of digital assets.I served as the facilitator of the Amazon Working Backwards Workshop, formed to identify opportunities to innovate technologies to enhance the discoverability of digital assets in the library collection.

Here, I advised the team on technology, web development, usability testing, staff development, environmental analysis, and risk taking. I also served on a steering committee influencing the library-wide strategic plan for technologyAs Product Manager, I oversaw the internally-developed QuickSearch search engine that integrates results from multiple library sources into a single view.Each week, I led web usability testing and managed an Agile release schedule for library web interfaces.Additionally, I planned and executed a campus-wide project to address and resolve ADA compliance issues with the website.

Here, I managed 11 employees and a graduate assistant dedicated to improving library discovery through projects and technology solutions.I was responsible for server administration, web development, cataloging, database integrity, and usability assessment.As Project Manager, I led a redesign of the website to integrate best practices for responsive design and e-Commerce web interfaces.I also directed the project to create QuickSearch, a library developed search engine that pre-facets search results by format type allowing for greater findability of library resources.My achievements included the development of a business intelligence dashboard providing insight to librarians and administrators into how often journal titles are requested through interlibrary loan at the University, College, and Department levels.I was able to deliver a greater than 185% increase in library catalog activity by leading an SEO project that increased the discoverability of library materials through Google searches.

In this role, I implemented the EBSCO Discovery Service, improving the findability of electronic journals.I also reduced technical support requests resulting from human error by automating the workflow for setting custom holdings to eSerial titles.

I taught experiential labs to teach students the principles of library system administration in an SaaS environment.I re-engineered the curriculum to integrate a software design project and expanded the course to include lectures on associated technologies like link resolution, authentication, and discovery systems.
