Lighting Designer & Technical Sales My role as Technical Lighting Specialist is to provide the highest level of customer service to a variety of customer types including landscape architects, consulting engineers, contractors and wholesalers. I am involved heavily in dealing with landscape and urban-realm projects from specification stage through to supply/ installation. This consists of supporting key sales functions such as providing pre- & post-sales customer support with lighting calculations, product information and advice, project quotations & order processing. In addition to the customer support role, I am also tasked to convert enquiries to orders to meet the company’s turnover and profitability targets. Main Functions & Responsibilities• Produce Lighting Designs using Lighting Reality, Dialux & CAD to the relavent British standards.• Detailed technical design and material knowledge of the Marshalls & Woodhouse lighting product portfolio to assist and consultatively advise customers.• Assist design engineering department in the maintenance of all customer facing product data & documentation.• Provide sales quotations to customers.• Provide product cost analysis to colleagues.• Use practical skills in relevant modules of Dynamics Ax• Project management• Proactively up and cross selling including forwarding sales leads onto external sales representation• Knowledge of customer accounts• Control of a multitude of product samples to aid the customer consultation and order propensity
