The initial remit of this role was to work in a team to generate a business case to allow a major process inprovement in the Supply Chain for the Surface Ships business. The role has been focused on Supplier capabilities, drawing up Value stream map data, purchase order data analysis, system comparisons, as well as stakeholder management and mapping.

As a Corporate Development Officer, I provided Strategy & Planning leadership and support to a wide range of projects throughout the Surface Ships organisation, whilst supporting the continuous improvement of Corporate Development practices and processes. My main focuses have been on the international support market, export from an international partner and improvements in the supply chain.

In this role I sat across 19 projects that the company works on with our UK customer. The role was focused on ensuring that the relationship between BAE and the customer within the various teams were working properly, and helping where they were not. An operational Supply Chain placement, I was responsible for cleansing and managing a database of contacts for loading into a new operating system. In addition, I was also responsible for writing a number of training manuals for the new operating system. This role required me to build and maintain good relations with several projects and key stakeholders across the business.
