Programme Engineering Manager for DTUP. Responsible for managing scope, integration, engineering risk, regulation, governance and assurance on behalf of the Head of Engineering. Also remained responsible for the engineering delivery of Signalling, Control, Information and Control Centres (see role below).Redesigned the programme's approach to programme/systems engineering, with a focus on consolidating the responsibility of asset design/delivery and systems integration, and negotiated an extension to the Systems Integration Support Partner aligned to that approach.

Key Achievements:• Built and led a multidisciplinary team to specify, assure and support procurement of c£3bn works, including signalling, command and control, control centres and enabling works. • Developed the technical elements of a c£1bn technology contract (for CBTC), building in appropriate commercial strategies, options and approach to evaluation & award to deliver a mutually beneficial 70-year capital and operational relationship.• Down-selected to three suppliers, having evaluated and audited the applicants through Pre-Qualification.• Prepared and presented evidence (including to the Mayor's independent auditors) and gained acceptance for all of the technical elements of the contract.• Prepared, gained buy-in, and issued strategies on scope packaging, communications and governance/regulatory processes.

Key Achievements:• Developed the Strategy for Automation for four underground lines.• Designed and delivered a series of supplier engagement events to develop a detailed insight into the market capability and trends (using the Official Journal of the EU process), and grow readiness and appetite in the supplier base.• Analysed feasibility for Operational Control Systems, defining the scope of delivery for four underground lines.• Presented and agreed Automation Trials at the DTP Programme Board.• Designed and delivered analytical systems to support improved energy efficiency and fault diagnosis for the Victoria Line.• Gained front-line experience while supporting the 2012 Olympic Games as a Travel Ambassador.
