👉 Unlike other golf pros I didn't come from a wealthy family or golf dynasty; in fact, I picked up my first club at 14 thanks to my dad's birthday gift – a golf club membership. His plan was to get me off the couch and PlayStation. It worked!⛳ Within a few years, I became the junior champion and caught ‘the bug’ that only fellow golfers truly understand. Fast forward 16 years and my passion for golf remains strong.My journey so far;➡️ I’ve been totally focused on golf since I was allowed to leave school at 16. I still achieved 10 A*-C GCSE grades with no revision (I was out on the course)➡️ So, I took an unconventional route and still went to college and university. My course: professional golf. Why? Because training and education is essential, but it has to be relevant to you to align with your dreams and aspirations➡️ Fast forward to 2014 – I turned pro. Now with 11 wins under my belt, and a wealth of experience across Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia and more golf course miles in the UK than I can count➡️ Then in 2023, proudly earned my first starts on the Challenge Tour and Sunshine Tour in South Africa🗓️ Today?✅ My experience, study and passion is still golf - I think about it nearly 24x7. This means that there isn’t much I don’t know about golf; the playing, the sport and science of the game, the mindset and psychology required of top golfers.🤓You could call me a golf geek - passing on my passion and knowledge is something I feel strongly about. Many look to take generic advice but you wouldn’t take someone else’s medical prescription incase it harms or isn’t suitable for you. The same applies to your golf game.💰 But I'm also a realist. In this game, it's not all birdies and eagles; there's a fair share of financial bunkers to navigate.My playing is going really well, the best it’s ever been. Whilst I know I need to keep improving my game, I’m also working on my mindset. Not having steady financial support means I need to win to earn a living and that can distract me - if I let it.I’ve had to accept that if I want to continue chasing my dreams, I need to put time and effort into raising the funds to play. Golf is a business and all businesses invest in sales and marketing to progress. That doesn’t make it any easier for me when I’m used to spending all the daylight hours to work on my game.
