Enthusiast of clever design and visual storytelling. With a background in interdisciplinary research in art and anthropology, I creatively engage others across mediums. The photo above is a detail of "The Swan, No. 10" by Hilma af Klint, a modernist painter whose works visualized the invisible. Most recently, I presented an analysis of demographic data of my program’s student educators and volunteers alongside a timeline of our equity initiatives, presented the results in an interactive presentation titled ”Equity in Hiring Practices” at the conference for the National College Learning Center Association (NCLCA) in October 2022.Other projects include:*Completed dissertation and graduated from the University of Texas at Austin (December 2020). In this project, I explored how ancient artists in Central Mexico invoked foreign visual cultures to create an exotic "other" world east of the Aztec Empire.*Developed and led a workshop at the Mesoamerica Meetings training participants to parse ancient Mexican visual art and translate Nahuatl writing: “Inechichiuh, Ixahual: Iconography and Identity among the Aztec Gods and Goddesses” (Spring 2019)*Co-directed two academic conference sessions on the intellectual lives of Mesoamerican artists: "Looking to the East: Artistic Legacies of the Classic Maya in Mesoamerica" (Society for American Archaeology) and "Permanence/Impermanence: Materiality in the Precolumbian World" (College Art Association) (Spring 2018)
