In my role as a vineyard worker over Law School’s summer break, I undertook tasks including pruning, leaf plucking, bunch management, canopy management, disease management and grounds work. While working in the cellar door I acted as both a waiter and bartender. My role included ordinary waitstaff duties as well as discussing the 12 wine varietals with customers during tastings which had a strong focus on sales. I also worked to efficiently process orders for wholesale.

During the harvest I assisted in picking the grape and processing. This included working with destemming/pumping machinery and working the processed must in order to effectively manage temperature. My role included ordinary waitstaff duties as well as discussing the 12 wine varietals with customers during tastings and also had a strong focus on sales and efficiently processing orders.

After breaking the 127 year old 100m school record in my final year at the school, I was invited to work with 13-18 year old boys, coaching sprinting technique with a focus on block starting, correct acceleration form, and sled and weight training for top end speed.
