Bytewire was formed after an idea was developed during University. We set out to build a portfolio of online games. Bytewire took investment from Fubra Limited within 6 months of incorporation to help develop our first MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role Play Game) further.Whilst working at Bytewire I was able to improve development and management skills by dealing with constant demands from clients and development constraints such as bottlenecks in LAMP applications.In the last year of my career at Bytewire the company was more focused on servicing small to medium businesses. I worked with clients and developed a number of websites to serve a range of purposes including:- Kia Garage : Developed a CMS website to sell new / used cars making use of an API from Secondbyte.- Discover Solar : Bespoke tool to calculate profitability of installing solar panels on your roof. Making use of NASA data and Google Maps API to allow a user to find their house, plot their roof size then determine the direction the sun comes from to work out potential income from the governments FIT incentives.- TDR Groundworks : Developed a CMS website to give the company an online presence in order to gain more clients and showcase their projects.
