Working with Libraries staff and within a cohort of other students, investigated, developed, and documented a camera toolkit (VisSDK) for Unity that is optimized for the Cyma Rubin Visualization Gallery. In addition to the developer’s toolkit and related documentation, I helped create a unique virtual environment that is displayed in the Visualization Gallery as a demonstration. Furthermore, in my role as an interactive exhibit developer with the NC State University Libraries, I am responsible for making iterative improvements to the user experience, technical durability, and overall quality of several interactive technologies around the Libraries. These efforts include the development and deployment of a showcase kiosk focused on student-created games (deployed via ChromeOS and utilizing React, Node.js, WebGL, raspberry pi web server hardware, and an HP Chromebase kiosk) as well as iterative improvements to exhibit infrastructure that stands on pre-existing VisSDK standards to present immersive media in Libraries showcase spaces such as the Cyma Rubin Visualization Gallery and other cutting-edge media spaces in need of bespoke toolsets to amplify patron utility.
