Responsible for delivering financial modelling and raising debt for construction projects. Leading our understanding of the financial position, equity return and risks at Conrad Energy. A fast paced and ambitious company, a challenging role where I have also designed a new purchasing process, taken responsibility for financial and ancillary systems, and I have played a key role in reflecting the company’s complex corporate structure in all it’s financial processes.I work across the teams here at Conrad, coordinating and scrutinising project evaluation as projects move through our approval cycle. Once projects enter construction and operation, I continue to work with all our teams to understand how each project performs to budget and timelines and review operational KPIs. I am also responsible for ensuring key information is passed on to our equity and debt providers.I have helped secure multiple debt facilities, producing the financial models, writing decision papers, and coordinating with external stakeholders and keeping our board members informed. My key impacts have been helping with term-sheet negotiations, writing key segments, working with the debt providers, due diligence partners and equity to keep the debt raises on track and explain our positions.During Conrad’s rapid growth the back office has needed to evolve. I have been responsible for many new process implementations, from inter company charge out methods, chart of accounts, and key systems (finance, purchasing, maintenance, timesheets).

Led a team which had responsibility for three systems across UCL: Oracle EBS, Axiom Financial Reporting, and SITs (Student Information system). My main responsibilties included: - User Engagement: Representing the Financial Systems team across several boards, forums and departmental meetings. I would attend user forums and lead discussions with users to establish how the systems I was responsbile for could be better.- System improvemnts: Lead on several improvement projects, where I had resonsibility for project plans, resources, monitoring, and stakeholder enagement.- Testing: Overall responsibility for ensuring all changes were fully tested before rlease into a Live system. Included all interal (unit & functional) testing, and organising UAT and stakeholder sign off.- Training: I was lead on creating training program and materials from scratch for our users, a mix of workshops, seminars, videos, and documents.- Month end: my team were responsible for ensuring the system is closed at the end of each period across the three systems we looked after. Ensuring all accounting entries were fully costed, reconciled, and all issues are resolved.- 2nd line heldesk: responsible for overseeing the 2nd line helpdesk, covering up to 10,000 users.My key achievements at UCL were the introduction of a new testing methodology that reduced system bugs being released into Live systems, less reliance on external testing, gaining control of the process, and better bug tracking.I also lead the user enagement, testing, and training, of the nw Axiom reporting system to over 3,000 users. A successful project which saw UCL staff further engage with and better manage their departmental finances.
