I have always had a passion for technology. For as long as I can remember, I have surrounded myself with computers – from watching my brother exploring the early stages of the Internet, to my current job as a software developer. My first experience with development was HTML in junior high school. Anyone who wanted to maintain a trendy Myspace page needed to learn this language. As I was tinkering with HTML, I knew I wanted to do something computer-related as a profession. In 2009, I started attending Humboldt State University, where I majored in Computer Science. I quickly found that I am always hungry for new knowledge and I learned to excel in a team oriented environment through group projects. Shortly after graduating in May 2014, I joined Techport 13 as an associate software developer. At this company, I have assisted in developing custom applications on the ServiceNow platform for IT departments of large multinational companies. Working within ServiceNow has enabled me to continually advance my knowledge in things such as database design, web services, JavaScript, JSON, and HTML. In my free time, I explore my passion for the outdoors. I have been an avid rock climber for six years and love to camp whenever possible. I have grown up camping in Yosemite National Park every year and could not imagine ever stopping that tradition.
