I lead a team of analysts in end-to-end diagnosis and resolution of client data issues. We work together to build strong relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders. Our company's data infrastructure is complex and I serve as a subject matter expert for my teammates to help them navigate and work within it. I spend a lot of time using open-source languages (Python, Linux, Java, etc.) and a variety of tools (Github, Jupyterhub, Sumologic, Jenkins, etc.) to analyze data housed in a variety of data formats and on a variety of servers.In this job function I have added structure to the relationships my team shares with data vendors. We instituted regular meetings and started documenting cases we had filed with our vendors. These simple practices rewarded both parties with tangible benefits. Clarity was brought to issues that were otherwise ignored and both parties were able to learn form one another and institute meaningful fixes.

My primary objective was to ensure vendor-provided data was properly received, transformed, and uploaded into our website within a daily deadline. I worked closely with teammates to triage data quality issues and infrastructure bugs. I gained extensive exposure to a variety of data systems (Ubuntu servers, MongoDB, MySQL databases, AWS storage systems, etc.) and data formats (JSON, CSV, XML, TXT, PGP encryption, etc.). My time was focused on using a variety of tools to diagnose and resolve a wide array of data issues across our complex data pipeline.I pushed myself beyond my job mandate to write Python code that was deployed into production. This code replaced a number of manual workflows and brought transparency to information that was otherwise locked away in under-utilized files. I proactively spent time amending and writing simple SQL queries and Sumologic queries to assist myself and my teammates in our job function.I took the time to properly document my work so that others could benefit from what I learned. My work was accomplished with a high attention to detail. My work ethic, quality of work, and subject matter expertise lead to two promotions within this job role.
