Developed the app from conception to iOS App Store (currently pending approval). Performed extensive field research participating in the on- demand app ecosystem as a worker, moved from user research to wireframes to pixel-perfect mockups. Hired and managed three engineers and one additional designer.

Joined Capital One’s Wealth Management Group pre-launch. Managed all design aspects of the Direct to Consumer service launch while introducing Service Blueprints to the group as a way of unifying the efforts of designers, developers, wealth management associates and regulators.In addition to bringing together stakeholders across the group around a single document my team owned, I was responsible for managing a cross-functional team tasked with designing the cultural shift for the group as Wealth Managers moved from a 1:1 service model to a team based model.

Numo is a bank funded fintech incubator. I’m currently developing an approach to evaluate business and product ideas that incorporates traditional business anaylsis and design thinking. I’m also bringing form to business ideas, and working closely with executive level bank stakeholders to produce financial specific startup ideas. On a weekly basis I manage designers, run user research projects, sketch wireframes, and facilitate ideation sessions.

Simultaneously instructed several student groups working across multiple industries with paying clients while guiding them through UCD research and design processes.

Founded LegalSifter to tackle the problems of small businesses’ inability to access affordable legal help. LegalSifter raised $2 Million in institutional funding to use a statistical natural language processing (AI) approach to legal aid. I was product owner for the engineering and design team. I conducted all design research, gathered requirements from corporate clients, and managed every product/feature from conception to production. This was in addition to traditional CEO responsibilities including all fund raising activities, finance, and management.

Helped determine community projects to be funded. Distributed 20,000 in grants every six weeks.

Catapult PGH is the first coworking space in Pittsburgh. I tackled all aspects of space, service, and business as well as fund raising, creating awareness in the local area through public talks educating people on the benefits of coworking and community spaces. I developed on-boarding procedures to emphasize community building, optimized space and pricing strategies, and also transitioned the space into one of the nations first fully donation based coworking spaces.

Cofounded one of the first Service Design consultancies in the country. Worked with large corporate clients such as GSK and McDonald’s and applied modern Service Design methodologies such as Service Blueprints, Personas, and Story-boarding.

One of the founding teachers at Microsoft’s rst venture into public schools. Participated in Harvard online course for curriculum theory, created digitally based science curriculum for 65 students, managed all internal staff meetings.

Coordinator for a new project to install wireless networks in lower income areas in Boston. Recruited a team of professionals and managed the project. Acted as liaison between team, community organizations, and Community Technology Centers’ Network.
