Collaborated with XLab Small Satellite Group to help develop software for both ground systems and satellite operations, including orbiting satellite deployed for USAF Hack-a-Sat Competition (www.hackasat.com).• Developed ROS2 publisher, data formatting with custom messages and applied firmware updates for satellite radar system.• Optimized ground software upload speeds to be 5x faster for a data sample of 4.8 Mb. Used python profiling and implemented both gated logging and a Ctype-based CRC algorithm (error correcting code).• Implemented rate limiting on Moonlighter satellite ground systems. Used Flask APIs with NGINX via Leaky Bucket Algorithm-based configuration and load testing tools to prevent increased response time, request timeouts and API downtime.• Designed and implemented integration test for Jetson TX2 module to verify startup and device mode upon power cuts. Added directly to Jenkins initialization pipeline.
