Enhance/optimize/re-engineer/redesign legacy code for reading/verifying raw data in various formats for processing to generate various statistical reports for clients. The entire suite of scripts (Perl and shell) was replaced by far fewer Perl scripts for more efficiency and portability. Documentation was embedded into all new scripts using Perl POD. Spreadsheet::WriteExcel was used as the reporting tool, and a Tab class (OO) was defined to simplify the coding of the tabs and improve code maintainability.
