I provide and supervise all recreational activities provided to the tenants of Holland House. These include therapeutic groups, community meals and activities, both in and outside of the facility.

Practice which utilizes the therapeutic attributes of art making. within the professional relationship between the client and Art Therapist. Those who may benefit are: individuals experiencing illness, trauma, or challenges in living, individuals with mental illnesses and their families, those who seek personal developement. Through creating art and reflecting on the art product and proccesses, one can increase awareness of self and others; cope with symptoms, stress, and traumatic experiences; enhance cognitive abilities; and enjoy the life-affirming pleasures of making art.

Masters Degreed, Licensed, and Board Certified Art Therapist. My work focuses on adults diagnosed with mental illness, and children either diagnosed with or showing signs of Autism, AD(H)D and other behavioral or developmental issues. Regarding those exhibiting problem behaviors that have yet to be diagnosed; Art Therapy offers, among many other benefits, diagnostic as well as treatment tools. The diagnostic tools are called "Art Therapy Assessments" and are easy and fun for both children and adults to take part in. The results are then professionally evaluated and then written up into a short assessment report that may be shared with other professionals such as teachers, psychiatrists, doctors, etc. I am a caring person who will show great respect to you and your family member(s) who is(are) suffering with mental illness, bereavement, and/or a debilitating physical condition.

Responsibilities: Art Therapist as part of an interdisciplinary team. Perform art therapy assessments of consumers, facilitation of art therapy groups and workshops, art therapy workshops for staff, purchasing materials for the art room, supervision of art therapy interns. Case management including: intakes and assessment, discharge and referral, liaison for outside agencies, verbal therapy group facilitation, individual supportive therapy, charting in compliance with OMH and Medicaid regulations, family psycho education, 24/7 on-call crisis intervention.
