My professional experience is primarily in field service engineering for semiconductor manufacturing. Prior to starting at Applied Materials, I was employed in various service related positions, and my formal education includes professional communications, conflict management, psychology, political science and computer science. As a field service engineer, I maintain an optical laser system which prints features on a nano-meter scale. This system has many complex components and systems, including advanced refrigeration, optical paths, DUV laser components, phase shift mask systems, and related print control strategies.I am qualified to perform regular and emergency maintenance on these systems, and I have related skills in computer hardware troubleshooting and repair. I also have a strong technical background with personal computers and networking. Coupled with my communication skills and education, I am looking to continue my career in technical fields and, eventually, product/team based leadership.
