Integration engineer for Surface Support systems (air supply, water supply, tunnel vehicles, tunnel!belt cassette, grout plant, ventilation cassette) that are complex multi-level systems with mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical components. Main duties: coordination/instruction of technicians for assembly and maintenance of systems, trouble shooting and flagging design flaws (working with technicians to find on the fly solutions), operation of system during mining, disassembly of systems for shipping, reassembly of systems, balancing multiple projects/systems, balancing multiple schedules and timelines. In summary: bridging gap between design (engineers) and implementation (technicians) to make designs work in the real world and feedback to design; all while considering priorities/timelines of the company and utilizing manpower most optimally.Spent time as tunnel engineer. Helping navigate TBM using TACS navigation system in the tunnel. Helping select ring build orientations. Working with shift foreman to troubleshoot problems on the fly to keep machine running efficiently and effectively. Help processes that are falling behind to eliminate bottle necks to mining. Daily machine inspections and preventative maintenance. Receive feedback from miners and elevate to design/management. Motivate team and keep the machine running!

Recruitment Lead

Developed a knowledge transfer program for Solidworks that ensured recruits gained the knowledge they needed to assist in design if he car and actual CAD modeling. Co-lead of steering subsystem for Formula car. Main focus was design of Ackermann brackets, which allow for variable wheel angle ratio which can improve YAW, and traction. The Ackermann bracket was designed to allow for multiple settings: Ackermann, regular, or anti-Ackermann steering; as well as adjustable steering arm. This allowed the car to be tuned for tighter turn courses (Ackermann) vs more gradual turns (anti-Ackermann), as well as driver feel.
