Integration engineer for Surface Support systems (air supply, water supply, tunnel vehicles, tunnel!belt cassette, grout plant, ventilation cassette) that are complex multi-level systems with mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical components. Main duties: coordination/instruction of technicians for assembly and maintenance of systems, trouble shooting and flagging design flaws (working with technicians to find on the fly solutions), operation of system during mining, disassembly of systems for shipping, reassembly of systems, balancing multiple projects/systems, balancing multiple schedules and timelines. In summary: bridging gap between design (engineers) and implementation (technicians) to make designs work in the real world and feedback to design; all while considering priorities/timelines of the company and utilizing manpower most optimally.Spent time as tunnel engineer. Helping navigate TBM using TACS navigation system in the tunnel. Helping select ring build orientations. Working with shift foreman to troubleshoot problems on the fly to keep machine running efficiently and effectively. Help processes that are falling behind to eliminate bottle necks to mining. Daily machine inspections and preventative maintenance. Receive feedback from miners and elevate to design/management. Motivate team and keep the machine running!

Contact for incoming recruits to formula team. Developed a knowledge transfer program for Solidworks that ensured recruits gained the knowledge they needed to assist in design if he car and actual CAD modeling. By having recruits interact weekly and by planning jobs for them within the team, retention went up as recruits felt a sense of community and purpose. Previously recruits would attend meetings and have to actively seek work, skill development and mentorship. I provided the recruits with all of these through the program I developed.

Co-lead of steering subsystem for Formula car. Main focus was design of Ackermann brackets, which allow for variable wheel angle ratio which can improve YAW, and traction. The Ackermann bracket was designed to allow for multiple settings: Ackermann, regular, or anti-Ackermann steering; as well as adjustable steering arm. This allowed the car to be tuned for tighter turn courses (Ackermann) vs more gradual turns (anti-Ackermann), as well as driver feel.

Part of 3-person team designing, and building Accumulator Cart for competition utilizing CAD, and hands on training to create successful, functioning and well-designed product fitting to FSAE guidelines. Also, assisted more senior member with any available project when needed.

Torque intern in charge of nut runners for Civic and CRV subframe to body nutrunners. As well as Civic subframe nutrunners. Project Lead for $70 000 nutrunner controller upgrade; involved supervising contractors, sourcing and working with suppliers, time management, presentations to management (highest level presented to was department manager), cost justification and payback, technical capability evaluation, etc.. Worked on Collaborative robot (Cobot) team using Fanuc robot programming (including collaborative CRX series) and utilized Cognex Insight series for 2D machine vision. Took on large leadership role in the “Cobot” project after previous lead left the company; distributing work, setting timelines, organizing coworkers, etc. Logic programmer for large quality and safety project related to steering wheel airbag, as well as assistance in mechanical aspect of project. Follow instructions from the Special Projects Manager to complete numerous tasks, such as: System Design, Drawing Creation, Design Review, Data Management, Field Work, Basic Calculations and more; utilizing programs like: AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Microsoft Office Suite. Had the opportunity to interact with potential suppliers, comparing: location, prices, customer service, and additional services in order to select a product supplier. Great experience that is helping me with time management, productivity, teamwork, creativity, critical thinking, and, of course, working in a professional setting.

Camp Counsellor focusing on Basketball, and monitoring older campers. Over my 2 years I have helped to coach hundreds of campers, developing my leadership and management skills, as well as improving my ability to present. I was assigned majority older boys (within 3 years of my own age), due to my ability to develop mutual respect, while maintaining a healthy and positive environment. I was a member of the Counsellor Council, which was a peer voted committee that offered solutions to problems facing counsellors, that could not be resolved through normal chain of command.
