* Technical lead of PONG (Pointing, Orbitology, Navigation, and Geolocation) software team. PONG is a critical subsystem of the satellite ground station system.* Taken ownership of several key PONG applications for three major satellite systems. Responsible for maintenance, troubleshooting, enhancements, and testing of pointing, geolocation, digital elevation map (DEM), and polynomial servers.* Led major PONG software redesign project to convert code from Ada to C/C++ and refactor to improve maintenance and testing.* Responsible for designing and executing pre-launch and on-orbit system tests for final delivery of two major satellite systems. * Created a software tool (OO Perl) to enable users to create and execute large complicated satellite tests from a simple XML description. This tool saved approximately 1000 person hours of work during on-orbit testing, and continues to be used in operations.* Was awarded $40K for a sensor coverage selection study which resulted in an improved algorithm developed for the operational system.* Mentored new employees and summer intern who, upon graduation, accepted a full time position. Helped them to integrate into the software development team and corporate culture.* Organized and led a lunchtime discussion group to walk through the algebraic proof of the impossibility of trisecting an angle with a straight edge and compass (and, by extension, the remaining two classical unsolved Greek straight edge and compass construction problems).
