I am a creative and talented Multimedia Professional with a decade of experience in video and television production, social media marketing, and photography. Currently, I serve as Social Media Content Producer for Sarasota County Schools. In this role, I produce short videos about the district, its teachers and students for the district's social media channels and their cable access tv station, The Education Channel. I also serve as a photographer for the district and assist in the production of televised school board meetings and in-house productions. As a television producer, I have tackled projects large and small. In 2014, I started working on a half-hour local educational television program focused on telling interesting stories about animals and the people who cared for them. Within a year of coming on board and under my direction, the show grew from a single market to national syndication. I completed a third season of the show before stepping down. During my time working in broadcast television, I worked in both large and small newsrooms and met the challenges in each one. I have covered local and state-wide stories, as well as headlines that gripped the nation. I covered Presidential elections and politics, crime, sports, and health topics, and excelled at taking complex ideas and making them easy to understand. My production experience includes shooting and editing short- and long-form video for Sarasota County Schools and Animal Outtakes and edited video for newscasts. In addition to my work as a newscast producer, I have served as an audio operator and director for televised school board meetings. I have also served as audio and teleprompter operator for in-house productions for Sarasota County Schools' Education Channel.
