The primary areas of experience include environmental assessments, remediation project support, regulatory compliance support, sustainability reporting, and field experience. Expertise also includes developing compliance documents, including monitoring reports, RCRA Part B permit applications and modifications, and Phase I Environmental Site Assessments. For several natural gas companies in Australia, Leah has prepared various compliance documents, such as Plan of Operations, Disturbance Protocols, and Environmental Management Plans. Leah also provides services such as compliance reporting, soil and groundwater sampling, installation of monitoring wells, and support for Global Report Initiative (GRI) reporting.

Ms. Ellis was employed with the Queensland Department of Environment and Heritage Protection (DEHP) for 2 years as a permit writer and inspector. During part of that time, she wrote permits for various development projects, including quarries, aquaculture, construction activities, and coastal activities, including dredging and tidal works. In her role, she responded to community complaints, planned and implemented targeted compliance inspections, and provided on-call incident response. Ms. Krause was promoted to the Petroleum and Gas Unit, where she was within a team of professional environmental officers assessing and conditioning high priority environmental authorities for gas fields, export pipelines, and liquefied natural gas (LNG) facilities on Curtis Island near Gladstone, Queensland. In her role, she advised government agencies, community, and industry on environmental regulations and policies and negotiated permit conditions with applicants. She liaised with the Australian Commonwealth Government, various Queensland Government departments and DEHP regional offices on the conditioning of permits and participated in progress meetings with permit applicants.

Hired at entry level as a junior Environmental Scientist in the Environmental Services Department to become the Director of the Air Quality Program, working in upper management in a supervisory role. Spearheaded projects related to continuous air emissions monitoring of power plant stacks, ground water sampling, landfill management, underground storage tanks, hazardous waste, and emergency response. Experience includes development of compliance programs, practical problem solving, and technical report writing. Negotiated with stakeholders, technicians, and regulatory agencies such as the federal Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), state of Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE), and the local Wyandotte County Department of Air Quality (DAQ).
